Birthday Party Fun: "Sugar and Spice"

In my free reading book this week, “Sugar and Spice” by Lauren Conrad, Jane threw her best friend since kindergarten, Scarlett a surprise birthday party. Scarlett has never been really into birthdays. If it weren’t for Jane, Scarlett would just sit around at home treating her birthday like any other day. Since both of the girls are now on Pop TV’s most popular reality TV show, “L.A. Candy”, Jane decides to make Scarlett’s 20th birthday the best one yet! She throws he a huge surprise party, inviting just about everyone Scarlett and her know. To make the party even bigger, it is being film and will air on season 2 of L.A. Candy. I love throwing parties, just like Jane.
I get so excited when my friends’ birthdays come around. I love getting them presents, throwing them parties, taking them to dinner, etc. At my old school, my friends and I would get together and buy the birthday girl one big present, instead of buying a bunch of little gifts. I was always the one that would find out with the birthday girl wanted, and collect all of the money to purchase the gift. My favorite birthday, other than my own of course, is my sister’s, Claudia’s. My sister and I have this tradition for our birthdays. The night before our birthdays, we wake up before the birthday girl wakes up, and decorates her room with balloons, streamers, and posters. Then we do all different kinds of surprises throughout the day. Claudia’s birthday is on April 27th, so I need to start planning my surprises. Any ideas?
