Wedding Bells

            This week, one of my old gymnastics coaches, Mandi, got engaged on her birthday, March 1^st.  Although she was my gymnastics coach, she had always been more than that to my family and me. We were always had the closet relationship that a coach a athlete could have. She was always there for me if I needed her, either in or out of the gym. She coached me from when I was 3 to 12. After she quite working at the gym I was at, she was our babysitter for a while. Her and my mom grew closer through this time. Now, she actually works for my dad, and is one of my mom’s really good friends. On Sunday, my mom, my sister, Mandi and I all went to, where she asked my mom to be her matron of honor, and for me to be a bride’s maid…unfortunately my sister was not asked to be in the wedding. I was so excited to hear this news! It has always been a dream of mine to be in a wedding.

            When I was younger, one of my friends was a flower girl in her aunt’s wedding. Ever since I heard about her experience, I had wanted to be a flower girl. Too bad I am a little too old for that now, but being a bride’s maid will still be a lot of fun. I have not even been to a wedding before, so I can’t wait to be a part of one.

Mandi’s fiancé has a daughter that is my age, and she is also going to be a bride’s maid. I have never met her before, but I hope that the two of us will get along and have a great time. August 4^th can’t seem to come quick enough!
